Aloha! My name is Kubi Sproat and I am a co-partner of Photo Guardians, llc. My photography passion began as a teenager while shooting 35mm film of anything and everything my curious mind could see. I was fortunate enough to pursue my passion through earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with an emphasis in photography from Utah State University. As a mommy to three little men, I truly enjoy looking back on different milestones in their lives. This is why I love photography and I hope we can be there to capture those memories for you. A camera can at times be an intimidating contraption, it is our goal as photographers to make every experience a positive one!
I was born and raised in the beautiful town of Waimea on the Big Island of Hawaii. In 6th grade, I took my first photography class and it was then that I learned of my love for landscape photography. It was not till later, that my passion evolved to encompass various photographic subjects, including personal portraits, as well as, candid and staged shots involving people and animals. I worked as a supervisor at a resort photography operation, which increased my knowledge and skill in this craft. Now Kubi and I have decided to pursue our passions, so that we might touch the lives of others through our photography.
